In late 2009, I
(Tom) asked the LORD God, what His “church” should look like. I was
not surprised by Holy Spirit’s immediate answer, “Battalion Aid
Station.” The Spirit of the LORD confirmed it later with a similar
statement, “casualty receiving station.”
My lack of surprise is rooted in a former career as a Medical
Officer in the U. S. Navy. I was a Battalion Surgeon with the U. S.
Marine Corps and served in a “BAS” during Desert Storm.
From our point of view, most Christian Churches and Messianic
Congregations are not filled with the victorious elect of the LORD
God. They are filled with the walking wounded. Many believers
have been wounded in action (WIA) and even more are missing in
action (MIA). Regrettably, we have personal experiences with those
killed in action (KIA).
Our adversary, Satan, plays for keeps. He knows that there are no
“do-over's.”
The finished work of the LORD God, as Messiah Jesus, purchased for
every believer healing from all manner of disease. To paraphrase the
late Kenneth A. Hagin, “you may have to die, but you don’t have to
die sick.” Moses, Man of God, walked uphill to his grave . . . at
120 years old!
The narrative in the gospel of Mark dealing with the man possessed
by “Legion, for we are many,” is meant to give all of us hope. After
the man’s encounter with the LORD Jesus, not only is he completely
delivered but is found “in his right mind.”
Our healing, physical, emotional, relational and spiritual was
purchased with the blood of the Living God. As vice-regents and
ambassadors of the LORD God, we are committed to being used however
our
Father God, Jesus our Husband and Holy Spirit, our Comforter,
Counselor, Teacher and Friend would see fit. |
