It is not possible
for someone who has truly accepted Jesus (Yeshua) as LORD and Savior
(Romans 10:8-9) to be demon possessed. Our human spirit is
instantaneously “born again”, becomes one with Father, Jesus and
Holy Spirit, being “sealed” by the Spirit of the LORD. Apart from
this “rebirth”, our spirit, as well as our soul, is possessed by
Satan.
We must choose, as an act of our own free will, to enter into the
life-long process of sanctification (1 Thessalonians 4:3). Father’s
will for us is to be set apart for His use to glorify the name of
Jesus, Philippians 2:9-11 and Acts 13:2. We must choose, as an act
of our free will, to renew our minds, Romans 12:1-2 and Ephesians
4:23.
Sanctification, being set apart, begins with renewing of the mind. We define the soul realm as the mind, will and emotions. The LORD
Jesus said in Luke 21:19, “By your patience, you possess your
souls.” So, by our patience, we, not Satan, possess our mind, our
will and our emotions. Our sanctification, involves our entire
entity, our spirit, soul and body. Our soul realm is our “promised
land.” We must possess our promised land and evict or cast out the
inhabitants, just as the Hebrews had to evict or cast out the
inhabitants of their literal land.
Since there were giants in their land, we can expect “giants or
strongholds” in our promised land, our soul realm. Since they dealt
with “walled cities”, we must as well. Belief systems or structures
would be an example. Since they, the Hebrews, were commanded not to
enter into agreements or covenants with the people of the land, we
too, must not enter into agreements with Satan and the kingdom of
darkness. When we choose to believe Satan and his lies over the
revealed truth of the scripture and over the Living and Active
Spirit of the LORD, we fail as they did. Believing Satan over the
LORD God gives him access to our promised land, to our soul realm,
to our mind, will and emotions. Just as Joshua and the elders were
deceived by the Gibeonites, we also can be deceived by Satan and
covenant with him, granting him access to our soul.
The LORD showed me (Tom) in a vision, a map of Israel laid out by
tribal allotments, superimposed upon a human brain. What He was
clearly showing me, was that our brain . . . our mind, will and
emotions . . . was to be taken and secured just as the twelve tribes
were directed to secure their land.
Whose report will you believe? As long as “the church” believes the
report of the ten spies, it will remain in captivity and never
possess its inheritance, heritage or destiny. We choose to side with
Joshua and Caleb. I am well able to possess my soul . . . I AM tells
me that I am . . . who do you believe?
Jesus (Yeshua) of Nazareth poses a question in Luke 11 to the
Pharisees. “If I (Jesus) cast out demons by Beelzebub (Satan), by
whom do your sons (disciples) cast them out?” The Pharisees did not
deny that Jesus has cast out a demon. They questioned by whose
authority did He do so. What He asked them was whose name were they
using? They would have used the name of the LORD (YHWH) . . . they
would have used Jesus’ name. Demon possession was part of orthodox
Jewish ministry, orthodox biblical ministry.
The Pharisee’s were Torah observant Jews who would have invoked the
name of their God . . . Yahweh or Jehovah. The Pharisee’s were
invoking the power of Jesus, son of Jehovah to deliver their
disciples and followers from the clutches of demonic intruders that
held them captive in their promised land, in their mind, will and
emotions. They fought a “double battle.” Had they recognized their
battle as personal, generational and corporate sin, they would have
never fought against flesh and blood either.
Since dealing with the demonic realm was part of their ministry,
since Jesus dealt openly with it, why doesn’t the church? Since the
LORD God is not a respecter of persons and the LORD God does not
change why does “the church” believe that somehow we have been dealt
a “different hand?”
Identification of “demonic intruders” is only possible under the
ever- watchful eye of our Rabbi, Holy Spirit. Many books, with
different “protocols” have been written but the Spirit of the LORD
must always be in control. He must be LORD or there is no liberty
for the captives.
The LORD Jesus tells us that this must be so. In Luke 4, Jesus
(Yeshua) quoted from Isaiah 61, “ . . . the Spirit of the LORD (YHWH)
. . . set(s) at liberty those who are oppressed . . .”
The concept of deliverance is fundamental to our sanctification, to
our being separated out, “ . . . separate to Me (Holy Spirit . . Spirit of the LORD / YHWH) Paul and Barnabas for the work to which I
(Holy Spirit) have called them.” Acts 13:2.
Are you ready to be separated out? |
